Personalised Pilates, taught with care

If you are looking for Pilates in Geneva that is calm, attentive, and shaped around you, you are in the right place. I work one-to-one, taking time to understand your body, your history, and how you feel on the day, so each session supports you. Whether you are new to Pilates, returning after injury or change, or seeking a more considered approach to movement, my teaching is grounded in classical training, ongoing study, and a belief that strength is built quietly.

Pilates For You

I offer personalised, one-to-one Classical Pilates sessions, taught calmly and attentively, either in my home studio, Studio Felicity, or in your home in Geneva. Each session is shaped around you, your body, your history, and your goals, and evolves over time as your strength and understanding grow.

Pilates works best when practiced consistently over time. For this reason, sessions are offered in packs, allowing space for learning, progression, and continuity. Packs also reflect a commitment to your practice and offer better value than single sessions.

Pilates to You mat sessions are 45 minutes long. I bring all the required accessories, you simply need to have enough space to roll a mat out in, wear clothing comfortable for moving in and non-slip socks.

Studio sessions are 55 minutes long. The studio is furnished with GRATZ classical pilates equipment and here you will be trained on a variety of apparatus including the reformer, cadillac, spine corrector, mini barrel as well as the mat.

About Pilates With Felicity

I’m Felicity, a comprehensive and classically trained 3rd Generation Pilates Instructor.

My work is grounded in calm, attentive teaching and a deep respect for individual bodies. Whether you are new to Pilates or returning to it with specific goals, each session is shaped around you. I listen to your history, observe your movement patterns, and adapt each session to how you feel on the day. This means knowing when to challenge, when to support, and when to adapt — always with care. I work gently and progressively, supporting strength, alignment, and confidence in movement, so that my clients leave sessions feeling more balanced, more at ease in their bodies, and quietly stronger.

I initially came into contact with Pilates when receiving physiotherapy in my early 20s for severe back pain that limited my ability to walk, never mind do the running I loved. I was lucky to finally meet a physiotherapist who had just received training in Pilates, and was keen to pass on some of the exercises to her patients. Three months of very basic but consistent Pilates practice and I was pain free. These basic exercises kept me pain free for years.

I then became a mother, my body totally changed to accommodate these new physical demands and I decided that I needed to take the Pilates thing seriously, maybe sharpen up some of the aspects of my personal practice that without guidance had become blurred over the years. Fate intervened yet again, and I met Lynn Grandjean – a 2nd Generation Pilates Teacher, trained by Lolita San Miguel, Kathryn Ross-Nash as well as many other highly respected Pilates teachers.  I started to learn Pilates as a method and a system – moving far beyond the basic exercises I had initially learnt. I found the Pilates method to be incredibly powerful and over and over again I left the studio feeling more balanced, more aligned, and stronger than I had ever felt in my life. Pilates allowed me to take my running off road and onto the Trail – what a joy!

I followed an intensive development programme and then started Teacher Training. In this I dedicated myself to learning everything I could about the Pilates method. I graduated the programme, passing the physical and theoretical exams and completing over 500 hours in seminars, observations and practical sessions.

And my learning hasn’t stopped there! I attend ateliers, seminars, conferences – in Switzerland and internationally. I continue to learn from the best, drawing on all the lineages within Pilates, integrating all these movements within my own practice, and sharing the work with my clients. Pilates is an incredible system, creating strength from within, supporting all of our movement both inside and outside of the studio. Truly, this is why we train – to bring the strength of the Pilates system into our everyday lives.

About Pilates

Placeholder

Pilates as a method was developed by Joseph Pilates (1883–1967). As a child he faced significant illness, an experience that shaped his lifelong curiosity about the human body and how it moves, heals and adapts. Over the course of a lifetime he refined his ideas, developed machines to assist his work, and taught others through mindful, practical movement.  Joseph Pilates documented his work in his books Return to Life Through Contrology and Your Health. His method has been preserved and evolved through his direct students, and through their students, who continue to share and deepen the work today.

Classical Pilates is guided by seven core principles—concentration, control, centering, precision, breath, flow, and stamina. These principles extend far beyond the mat or reformer; they offer a way of approaching movement, and life, with greater awareness and intention.

Taken together, the principles of Pilates offer more than a physical practice. They provide a framework for living with greater awareness, balance, and purposeful energy, both in movement and in everyday life.
